all OK now, problem was..

"AllowOverride None" should be changed  to "AllowOverride All" in
httpd.conf

uh.. how i missed this...

i think i have it enabled, these are uncommented in
/etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf

the error page is standard apache "Not Found" error.

I have done all this, following the tutor step-by-step.

apache2 works just fine on its own.

thats the weird thing.

hi guys; (sorry revised the title)

I have a Centos5.1 box, loaded with

php-5.1.6
httpd-2.2.3(apache)
mysql-5.0.22

following this video

and this tutor:
http://manual.cakephp.org/view/326/the-cake-blog-tutorial

i have checked out from svn repo
svn co https://svn.cakephp.org/repo/trunk/cake/1.1.x.x/ /var/www/html/
blog

http://localhost/  points to /var/www/html/blog

i have created database, entered test entries, modified database.php
and all as shown in the video step by step,

when i point the browser to,
http://localhost/
it shows a page with:
  CakePHP Rapid Development
  Your database configuration file is present.
  Cake is able to connect to the database.

but when i point the browser to;
http://localhost/posts/

it shows: The requested URL /posts was not found on this server.

any ideas what i could be doing wrong?
