False, I hav an ETL written with a cake model and it transforms 10,000 records with each pass. Been running for over a year and has processed over 2 billion records. Did you know that CakePHP has a limit of 1,254 records to be returned in an array? Maybe its a server or database setting and not CakePHP, but let me tell you it was a real chore to debug why a query was returning results but the data array was empty.
