I am attempting to integrate Magento with CakePHP but I'm having some problems. I put the Magento files into a folder I created in the webroot directory. Re: Installing Magento w/ CakePHP
I looked into Bakesale but Mangento just seemed to have far more features. Not really sure if I need that many features or not but I figured it would be good to have them there if I ever needed them. Anyone have any suggestions on what to try to get my cgi-bin problem fixed? Thanks. --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups CakePHP group. Re: Installing Magento w/ CakePHP
Well I finally got fed up with Godaddy's horrible hosting and moved all my stuff over to Host Gator. This means that I no longer have to use the cgi-bin because I am now using php5. I am however having another problem which I know isn't really CakePHP related but I thought someone still might be able to help. I put my magento stuff in app/webroot/store/ and uploaded everything to my server. If you go to http://www.affinityskateboards.com/store/ you will see that I get a 404 page. If you go to http://www.affinityskateboards.com/store/index.php however you will be greeted with the store homepage. I know that the problem lies somewhere in the magento .htaccess file but I am completely oblivious as to how to fix it. I am hoping that someone with some mod_rewrite experience could please help me. Re: Magento cart
I was in the IRC Chan recently and someone had mentioned that they were going to port Magneto to CakePHP, you might search the group for Magneto, also drop in to the IRC Channel and ask, I dont remember who it was. For some reason I just can't get into the Zend Framework... I've been smitten by cakePHP. But I have to admit, this is nice enough to make me want to dig in and give it a second look. Yes indeed specially given that ZF doesn't have most of the automagic of cakePHP - I got curious as to how things right from the app directory structure to form validation has been handled. This is getting really off topic for this list now - so EOT for me :) Cheers Tarique -- = Cheesecake-Photoblog: http://cheesecake-photoblog.org PHP for E-Biz: http://sanisoft.com = --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Cake PHP group. Magento
So, I ran across this today: http://www.magentocommerce.com/ It looks amazing BUT its written in the Zend Framework... which I have not used and would rather not get into based on a few quick peeks inside it. My question is... could something like this be dropped into an existing cakePHP app as a vendor? Would that work? --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups Cake PHP group. We had a look at the code yesterday - pretty slick I would say and No it cannot be dropped into existing cakePHP vendor - you can try dropping it into webroot but I wouldn't suggest that either.
