AW: Problem with seeing files?
Hi Terion, I also had to start out on IIS and it didn't work. Then my boss luckily insisted on a Linux webcluster, I got a LAMPP installation and I am happy now. Sorry I cannot help you. Re: Problem with seeing files?
First create simple index.php hello world page and see if web server works. Then try with cake. In app/config/core.php turn debug to 1. When cake is in debug mode- there is no 404's but error messages... Re: Problem with seeing files?
Is there any answer to this I have tried every Cake and IIS trick I have found...I installed the mod_rewrite for IIS, then had to uninstall it because it just kept resolving all URL's to the index of the root : http://127.0.0.1 my cake blog tutorial is installed like this: http://127.0.0.1/cakeblog/ and it works (well the index does) great says the db is config'd and connected and all is well, until I go to browse the posts, then 404 this seems to be a common problem encountered but I must be doing something wrong because I can't get it resolved. Anyone ?
