Re: Question on 1.3 alpha
Yes you are downloading the master branch, and not the 1.3 branch. The "master" branch contains the last 1.2 stable release. Which was in september. You need to navigate/click on 1.3 in order to download it. -Mark On Dec 17, 7:18 am, Dave Porter wrote: > Thanks Walther, > > OK, I've done this a few times now via github, but when I un-zip the > files I scan them all the files are date stamped the 8th of > September ! > > Am I missing something ? > Cheers Dave > > On Dec 17, 2:39 pm, Walther wrote: > > > > > The best way is to use git to clone the repository. > > > Otherwise, gotohttp://github.com/cakephp/cakephp1x, goto 'all > > branches', then to '1.3', then click on 'download' and then select zip > > or tar. > > > On Dec 16, 11:40 pm, Dave Porter wrote: > > > > Could someone answer euromarks question please ? > > > > When I browse the git repo I can't find anything I can download that > > > is past September ? > > > > cheers Dave > > > > On Dec 17, 4:41 am, mark_story wrote: > > > > > Also if you notice any issues, it'd be nice if you could open tickets > > > > in the ticket tracker. Re: Question on 1.3 alpha
The best way is to use git to clone the repository. Otherwise, goto http://github.com/cakephp/cakephp1x, goto 'all branches', then to '1.3', then click on 'download' and then select zip or tar. Also if you notice any issues, it'd be nice if you could open tickets in the ticket tracker. That way the issues can get fixed. I can't fix things I don't know about. -Mark On Dec 16, 12:53 am, Walther wrote: > 1.3 Alpha isn't very stable. Question on 1.3 alpha
Hi Everyone, I just wondered how stable 1.3 alpha is ? I noticed that this site: http://mark-story.com/ has a blog entry about upgrading, so I guess it must be a fair bit further on that many alpha releases. I guess I was just a bit apprehensive as a lot of Alpha releases are very early and often buggy and not suitable for production, so I'd appreciate some feedback from folk who have been playing it with it ? cheers Dave Porter Check out the new CakePHP Questions site http://cakeqs.org and help others with their CakePHP related questions.
