Re: RE sometimes I wonder if cakeph is worth all the trouble - seems like very steep learning curve.

No one is forcing you to use CakePHP, if you feel you can do it faster
in plain PHP then do so.

But you will probably end up creating your own framework. So you
might as well use something like CakePHP which is already done and
proven to work by thousands of people around the world. Yes there is
a learning curve, but training new people on your custom framework
would be equally hard, and probably harder, as there would be no
mailing list, no free documentation. You would have to pay out of
your own pocket for all of these resources. And once you have learned
how things are done in CakePHP I guarantee you, you will be able to do
things faster than before.

There is a learning curve in a framework just as there would be if you
 developed your own PHP code.

Your employee Ranju should spend some more time working on his
question asking skills rather than bombarding this group with one line
questions. One would question if he has read the manual or done any
research in regard to his queries!

if every employee have to spend months learning this new platform then , must
as well code directly in PHP !

If you don't want to learn a (new) framework, don't.

A couple of months learning CakePHP will pay itself back in no time
due to increased productivity ;-)
