Re: anyone know the expected 1.2 release date?
It seems everyone is Hungry for cakePHP 1.2, including myself since there is all this talk of the added functionality. As one of my best friends' old man used to say: "Hunger is the best sauce!" Hold that Ranch dressing Larry ;) Sonic --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group. Re: anyone know the expected 1.2 release date?
To use a quote I found on "The Mythical Man Month" (excellent book by Frederick P. Brooks): "Good cooking takes time. If you are made to wait, it is to serve you better, and to please you." That quote was taken from a menu of restaurant Antoine, in New Orleans. It certainly applies to CakePHP 1.2 stable release date. -MI On 19 ene, 19:18, "Larry E. Re: anyone know the expected 1.2 release date?
Jeez, that sounds like what you would find on any argentinean dinner table... I would send you the stuff but I guess I'd be in trouble with US customs ;) Somebody said "CakePHP talk" in Argentina, followed by the greatest meats in the world, and some of the greatest wines in the world to wash the meat down? A strong woody Cabernet sounds nice... -MI On 19 ene, 16:15, "Larry E. Masters aka PhpNut" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > I like steak, medium well. Baked potatoes, no butter. Sam, why are you hungry phpnut? What's for dinner? I like steak, medium well. Baked potatoes, no butter. A salad would be good too, ranch dressing. And a nice glass of Caymus Cabernet Sauvignon Special Selection 2004, leave the bottle ;) -- /** * @author Larry E. Re: anyone know the expected 1.2 release date?
to answer your question: yes i've seen a release date.. it was on the trac roadmap one day.. but when i said i noticed it it was immediatly removed again... so i guess they removed it to remove confusion ;-) and no, i'm not going to tell you the date i saw :-) the dev version 1.2 is a decent framework already (in the sense it's still in development, but it shouldn't be worse then 1.1) , go ahead and use it --~--~-~--~~~---~--~~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Cake PHP" group. Many people a using the dev version with a great amount of success. So if you just want to take a look or try something which is not for mission critical production - Use the 1.2 dev release - or better the SVN checkout.
