I've just checked and both liknks give me exactly the same results on
firefox.
Anyway if it would be true what you say then i rather think that
problem is with search query/code...
The same query always should produce the same results (if data wasnt
changed in mean time).

Using chrome, in both cases there are no results.

The problem may be with your server provider. For example when you
visit my site, if you prefix www. it won't work. In chrome it gives a
'Oops! This link appears to be broken' Without it it works perfectly.
They may be related or maybe not.
