Does anyone here this combination working for them? I have spent a

keep hitting the PDT Feature (1.0.0.V20070611-79--C-YGHEH6PP)

 Cheers.

When you search for new features to install, check all of the sources
- then after you select what you want click the add required (or
whatever it's exactly called) button and eclipse will automatically
select the other packages that are required for what you have selected
to work.

Re: eclipse and PDT - cannot resolve

2007-06-26 Thread Langdon Stevenson

Hi Vaz

I use Eclipse + PDT. I managed to get all of the dependencies right
(just by searching out the right packages), but I was having all sorts
of problems with it (on Fedora 7, 64 bit, Intel Duo).

In the end I uninstalled the Fedora Eclipse package, downloaded and
installed the PDT Eclipse bundle from the PDT site and used that instead
(on the Sun 1.6 JVM). No problem with setup etc.

If you can't get it to work from the update manager, then I would try
this approach.

Regards,
Langdon

I've run into that dependency problem that doesn't seem to resolve (even
when I have WST installed!). I downloaded PDT and unzipped it into the
eclipse directory per the included instructions. Worked fine.

Re: eclipse and PDT - cannot resolve

2007-06-26 Thread Langdon Stevenson

Hi Vaz

Langdon - one thing I noticed with PDT all-in-one bundle is that it
may not be x86-64 but I am glad it is working on your 64-bit Intel/
 Fedora environment.

It is a little while since I set it up, and I honestly can't remember
what issues I had. However, I think that I may have had to install the
32 bit Sun JVM (can't think of any other reason why I would have dumped
the Fedora JVM), so you might like to try that before you switch machines.

Regards,
Langdon
