Hmm… I want the system to access the session files to find an User.id in it. So I can update the database to show the online status of an user (if the user don't click on the logout button) Now the sessions are stored in the database and I want to minimize the overhead. When I use the session handling by php I cant't access the session files. Or have you an idea to do that? Hello, when will old session data be deleted when I use cake as sessionhandler (Configure::write('Session.save', 'cake');) ? I set that config in the core.php yesterday and I looked today in the CakePHP's /tmp directory and there are a lot of files from yesterday.
