2012-04-06 Thread djim
Hello, how can I incorporate a CRM system like Vtiger with my CakePhp
app? Perhaps syncing database tables somehow?

I will after we finish the migration to CakePHP 2.0.   Otherwise we only

But you're simply re-inventing the wheel that Fahad and Dogmatic have
already invented. Where would we be if each member of the Cake core
team went off and developed their own versions of Cake?!?

Have you looked at Croogo and Infinitas and if you have, what has made
you decide they are not worth contributing too?

Paul / WebbedIT - I think your taking the thread down the wrong track.

The question is about CRM not CMS.

what integration you expect..if code like the crm style , then hard and
maybe not cakephp way.

but if you add your apps url to the app, it can be just add some of your
entry link to your cake app, and from the cake app, just directly play with
the database of the crm.

Re: vtiger CRM with Cakephp

@zuha: Why get a team together to develop another CMS when Croogo
exists and is well respected by a lot of the community? Also there is
Infinitas, not had time to check that out yet, but also looks a great
solution.

Pooling your resources into one of these projects should produce
better results faster.

@localhost: as mentioned in my above post there are some excellent CMS
projects developed using CakePHP.

IMO I don't think it's a good idea or that you will get any help from
the community in trying to integrate an external CMS project with
CakePHP.

Go try out Croogo or Infinitas

How much time do you have to commit to working on a CRM? We have developed
an open source CRM for CakePHP and could use a new contributor. (It's
desktop mobile ready, and very simple, and includes a number of other
functionalities as well). Let me know if you're interested.
