Rebecca,

That looks fine - I don't use a stage.

Once the dance starts - I assume we can get rid of the chairs and use the whole
room - the floor looks very small for the number of students you are expecting

Thanks,

Mac

You could call the dance "Ziggy and the Waves", or "Zigsaw", or "Second
Wave", or "Wave Goodbye".

Hope this helps!

2013-11-09 Thread Andrea Nettleton
As a matter of nomenclature, it's a box circulate, the box being the hands
four. Wave circulate could mean for the wave to circle, but in any case the
precedent is to call it a box circulate.
Zig zags take way less time than you think, so you could get your dance going
CW by circling once and a quarter before the zig zag. To get everyone to the
right side, instead of the see saw, you could do a star promenade with the new
N. W in for a ricochet, P Alle R to the short wave (really it's just touch a
quarter since you don't even go 1/2.). I think you will find a Cir 3/4 and zig
zag will consistently get everyone to new neighbors early.

Greetings fellow callers,

I recently wrote a dance, but can't think of a name. I'm calling it this
evening, so I'm hoping something will happen that makes a funny story as to
how the dance got its name. Failing that, I was wondering if any of you had
any suggestions.

the middle)
A1) balance wave, P allemande R 3/4 (to long waves)

B2) M see-saw
