For Smoke test perspective, we believe that the framework covers 80%
of the functionality. In order to get the exact test coverage figure,
we may run Emma or clover in due course.

Re: [Carbon-dev] Update on WS-Human Task Implementation

2010-08-30 Thread Milinda Pathirage
WSO2 BPS 2.0.0 human task implementation only had limited UI functionality
and it didn't provide a way to implement custom rendering methods. We need
to implement following list of features for the task UI.

 - Custom UIs to render input to the task and to render response form for
tasks
 - Task list with advance filtering support
 - Provide support for task delegation, forwarding like functionalities
through the UI
 - Deadline notification support
 - Task history
 - Attachement support

To track the Human Task UI requirements I have created wiki page at [1].
Please feel free to add you suggestions there.

Thanks
Milinda

[Carbon-dev] ESB specific components IDEA/Eclipse project profile

2010-08-30 Thread Ruwan Linton
  Folks,

I have just added a maven profile to the root components pom, so that
you could generate an IDEA or Eclipse project with maven for the ESB
specific components. This comes in very handy when you do cross cutting
changes of the mediation (ESB) components using the refactoring
functionality of the IDE's.

Type the following to create an IDEA project with the ESB specific
components (there is only few and is manageable by the IDE)

mvn idea:idea -Didea-project=esb

Thanks,
Ruwan

[Carbon-dev] Update on WS-Human Task Implementation

2010-08-30 Thread Sanjaya Vithanagama
Hi All,

We've been working on WS-Human Task implementation for the past few weeks
and this is an update on the current progress and what we are planning to do
next.

As mentioned in [1], we have re-factored the human task component's
architecture. The main idea was to separate human task specification logic
and allow the task engine to be run independently. So we have removed Carbon
dependencies and introduced new interfaces for user management and task
deployment. The code was temporarily committed to [2]. This produces a .war
file which could be deployed on a Servlet container.

The new code reflects the latest Human Task specification published by
OASIS[3]. There are some significant changes from the older draft[4] which
was used for the human task implementation in BPS 2.0.0. We have added
support for sub tasks, deadline processing for the tasks and around 40+ new
task API operations were implemented.

There are several other functionality to be implemented according to the
spec. But at this stage we decided to focus on usability issues as we
currently support a limited set of UI features. So we are planning to
integrate the current code base to Carbon and focus on the UI
implementations.

Here is a list of items that we are planning to work on:
 - Adding a new human task editor.
 - UI functionality for Task Operations.
 - A new gadget for human tasks which could be used by task stakeholders for
rendering essential task information.

After these items are in place we'd focus on the rest of the
to-be-implemented functionality. Your input is appreciated.

Regards,
SanjayaV.

[Carbon-dev] Fwd: [Architecture] Dropping JDK 1.5 support on trunk

Subject: [Architecture] Dropping JDK 1.5 support on trunk
To: architecture

Note that, the Carbon trunk no longer compiles with JDK 1.5

Hence the automated builds are now using JDK 1.6

And the plan is to drop JDK 1.5 support from the next release, which is
Carbon 3.1.0

Thanks,
Samisa...

Save to registry
Writting an xsd file for cep-component.conf
uploading jars - When working with POJOs, users need to give the fact jar

currently those files are put to components/lib folder.

The first integration we have done putting that file in repository/conf :(
