Re: [Carbon-dev] QPid warnings

2011-04-28 Thread Danushka Menikkumbura
The issue here is that the messages are durable (persistent) but not the
queues and Qpid discards them at restart. The event implementation has now
modified to make messages non-persistent by default. Therefore you should
not get this issue if you have the latest event in your product.

Thanks,
Danushka

Re: [Carbon-dev] Event Broker issues after installing ESB features on raw carbon server

2011-04-28 Thread Amila Suriarachchi
I had a look at this with Kasun.

The reason for this is in event feature there is a compoenent which has a
compile time dependency to the the message box. When install event feature
p2 feature installer copy the message box core which has the compile time
dependancy without coping the configuration files.

Fixed this by adding a feture dependancy to event compoent.

For proxy service feature you need to add the proper feature dependacies.

thanks,
Amila.

Re: [Carbon-dev] Adding a Neethi dependency to the trunk

2011-04-28 Thread Thilina Buddhika
This task has been completed now.

Please update the following.

- carbon-platform pom.xml
- dependencies (pom.xml and newly added 'neethi' directory)
- orbit/pom.xml and orbit/neethi
- components/stratos
- features/mashup and features/mediation

Please follow the instructions given below to incorporate this change to
your build.

- Please trigger an build from the root level to make sure that platform pom
is installed in your local M2 repo.
- Build dependencies/neethi (This has been added to the 'dependencies'
default profile)
- Build orbit/neethi. (This has been added to the 'dependencies' default
profile)
- Build Carbon Core. (This is the place, where neethi bundle is included to
Carbon)

I have tried building up to products (including few products) after removing
old Neethi artifacts from my local repo. So I believe build will not break
due these changes if the above mentioned procedure is followed.

Also after cleaning the pom files, now it is a lot easier to introduce a
version change to our code base. It was required to modify only a few
places. But we can improve further. :)

Builders, please make sure dependencies/neethi is included in the continuous
builds, if we are using a script to navigate through the dependencies and
build.

Thanks,
Thilina

This package get exported from the axiom orbit orbit bundle. A simple
package command in current trunk greg version gives

osgi> p javax.mail
javax.mail; version="1.4.0"
  axis2_1.6.1.wso2v1 [18] imports
  org.wso2.carbon.logging_3.2.0.SNAPSHOT [161] imports
  quartz_1.6.0.wso2v1 [222] imports

can you attach the bundles.info file found under
repository/components/configuration/org.eclipse.equinox.simpleconfigurator.

I cant figure out the exact reason from the given error data.In the
meantime, i suggest you to try this 3.1.0 branch code repo [1] . The
greg3.6.0 went from the 3.1.0 branched source and we have done some
changes for smoother build experience. It included a build README as
well. ;)

Thanks Afkham. I've forwarded this news to the interested parties. I'm not
sure why they want to do this but this will make them very happy.

 Folks,
You have to copy CARBON_HOME/lib/api/*.jar into the Carbon webapp's
WEB-INF/lib directory. I will update the build.xml file to contain a target
called createWAR, which will automatically do this.

Re: [Carbon-dev] IMPORTANT: How to deploy Carbon webapp on other AppServers

2011-04-28 Thread Afkham Azeez
Sorry, I may have misunderstood your question. From the early days, it has
been possible to deploy WSAS/Carbon as a webapp into any other AppServer
such as Tomcat, JBoss or WebLogic. Then, you will deploy your AAR files and
other artifacts within WSAS/Carbon. If you could let us know what were the
OSGi issues you faced when deploying AARs, we can help you with it.

Re: [Carbon-dev] IMPORTANT: How to deploy Carbon webapp on other AppServers

2011-04-28 Thread Afkham Azeez
No. When you deploy WSAS or any other Carbon server as a webapp within some
other container, you will have to first properly create the WSAS webapp by
running, ant createWAR, and then copy that WSAS or any other Cabon server
WAR into the relevant servlet container. For artifacts deployed on WSAS etc.
such as .AAR files, there is not change, and you don't have to do anything.

Does this mean ANY WSAS webapp? In particular, does it mean its possible to
deploy any WSAS .AAR to plain Tomcat? This would make DOD very happy but
early attempts (not by me) failed, I think because of OSGI issues, i.e.
class loader conflicts.

[Carbon-dev] Adding a Neethi dependency to the trunk

2011-04-28 Thread Thilina Buddhika
Hi,

We have been depending on the Neethi version(2.0.4.wso2v2) released with
Carbon 3.1.0 until now. But in order to fix
CARBON-8880,
we had to add the https based policy referencing support to Neethi. So the
plan is to branch from the released version of Neethi in 3.1.0 to the
current trunk and apply the fixes, then increase its version to
2.0.4.wso2v3.

Please let us know if there are any objections.

Thanks,
Thilina

just try removing the gernaimo-jms.jar from lib/api before copying the jars.
This is because most of the App servers provide there version of
javax.jms.*.

[Carbon-dev] IMPORTANT: How to deploy Carbon webapp on other AppServers

2011-04-28 Thread Afkham Azeez
Folks,
You have to copy CARBON_HOME/lib/api/*.jar into the Carbon webapp's
WEB-INF/lib directory. I will update the build.xml file to contain a target
called createWAR, which will automatically do this.

Smoke testing was done on latest IS pack [28-Apr-2011 13:54].
One blocker was found when changing admin password, and we will be fixing

Other than that, other basic functionality works fine and the pack is ready

Thanks,

features are installed. We have to fix it on DS feature.

Now, AS includes DS features and the generate DS wizard of DS requires to
have a carbon datasource (see below) . However, datasource component is not
there in AS. Because of the users cannot use this wizard OOTB in default AS

Yes, we don't want to import javax.jms.* from broker-core since we
distribute that jar with the carbon core now. I have committed the fix.
Please update compoents/broker and build that and feature/broker before
building the product.

[Carbon-dev] start compiled from source greg problem

2011-04-28 Thread Roberto Mier Escandón

Hi:
I've downloaded source code for greg 3.6.0 from url
http://wso2.org/products/download/registry/3.6.0/wso2greg-3.6.0-src.zip

After sucessful compiling, when I try to start registry by
wso2server.bat (in win) or wso2server.sh (unix), I see this error:

IMO this should be printed only if the KDC server is enabled. If it's
disabled by default that's fine and we shouldn't bother the user about it
every time.

[Carbon-dev] fixing https://wso2.org/jira/browse/CARBON-9032

2011-04-28 Thread Vijayaratha Vijayasingam
Hi all,

This is regarding the issue[1], where we cannot deploy groovy script
mediator in ESB..I tested with synapse it works fine but not with ESB..
The reason is we are not getting groovy engine in ESB/plugins folder...(that
is in synapse, but not coming with ESB..?? )
Anyway i copied same groovy engine to my classpath ( and checked bundle is
active), even though script mediator is not working in ESB.
I'm getting following issue[2]

To find exact reason, the only way i found is to build apache BSF project
and debugging it.. I got source from their site but couldn't build it,Error
is[3]..since the download site for jsr223-engines site does not contain any
resources.( this file is nowhere on the net...)
I asked help from BSF forum ..but they couldn't fix it since it is not an
ASF site down issue..

Any way without building BSF source, i tried to debug BSF, but sources are
not sync..

How should we handle this kind of situation?

Thanks
-Ratha.

Re: [Carbon-dev] authenticators.xml duplicated in the latest ESB build from the trunk

2011-04-28 Thread Thilina Buddhika
I fixed this in the IS build.

This is because we are trying to copy the entire conf/advanced directory
from Carbon core when trying to copy the Qpid config files and now the
advanced directory is available in the Carbon Core by default.

Will fix this for other products as well.

Thanks,
Thilina

2011-04-28 Thread Afkham Azeez
I'm afraid, this is not a simple find and replace. I tried this and got the
following failure, in cases where we use unwrapping. The proper fix has to
be done at the Axis2 end.
