Re: [Carbon-dev] [Stratos-dev] Carbon 3.1.0 and Stratos 1.0.0 branches

2010-10-05 Thread Isuru Suriarachchi
Please note that now trunk/carbon/orbit axis2, rampart, wss4j, axiom
versions refer to 3.1.0 branch dependencies at [1]. This is because we have
only branched dependencies and yet to branch Carbon. Therefore, you will
have to build [1] first to build trunk/orbit until we properly branch off
Carbon.

Thanks,
~Isuru

Re: [Carbon-dev] [Stratos-dev] Carbon 3.1.0 and Stratos 1.0.0 branches

2010-10-04 Thread Isuru Suriarachchi
Hi all,

I've fixed version of following projects throughout the Carbon platform.

axis2
axiom
transports
wss4j
rampart

Please change the versions of other projects under
branches/carbon/3.1.0/https://svn.wso2.org/repos/wso2/branches/carbon/3.1.0/dependencies.
This should be done by respective product teams.

And also following projects have internal trunks.

ode
https://svn.wso2.org/repos/wso2/trunk/commons/ode_trunk/
openjpa https://svn.wso2.org/repos/wso2/trunk/commons/openjpa/

Please version those accordingly as well.

Important : While fixing versions, I found that the same version is used in
many places without using maven properties. Please make sure you only have
the actual version in the root pom as a property and all internal modules
refer to that version using that property.

Thanks,
~Isuru

If you are working on any apache projects (axis2, axiom, synapse etc..)
you have to commit to both apache trunk and our internal branch. Other than
that, everything else should go into Carbon trunk. As we discussed in the
meeting, Carbon trunk is not branched off yet. This branch has externals to
trunk for the time being. Once we fix those 600+ Carbon issues, we'll be
 branching Carbon as well.

Does stratos 1.0.0 branch have all the externals?

 Yes. It has all externals..

 Thanks,
 ~Isuru

if so I would say all of us take a copy of that and work on that. So when
ever we change the external we get notified. :-) with an error in updating,
but it will keep you on the correct place.

 Ruwan

Now, where should we commit the stuff to?

 Hi all,

 I've created Carbon 3.1.0 [1] and Stratos 1.0.0 [2] branches. Internal
branches for apache dependencies can be found at [3]. I've not given wso2
versions for those dependencies yet. Product teams should update the versions
in relevant projects. And also update all references to these new versions. I
will be fixing Axis2 and Axiom versions to start with.

 Thanks,
 ~Isuru

If you are working on any apache projects (axis2, axiom, synapse etc..) you
have to commit to both apache trunk and our internal branch. Other than
that, everything else should go into Carbon trunk. As we discussed in the
meeting, Carbon trunk is not branched off yet. This branch has externals to
trunk for the time being. Once we fix those 600+ Carbon issues, we'll be
branching Carbon as well.

Thanks,
~Isuru

Does stratos 1.0.0 branch have all the externals? if so I would say all
of us take a copy of that and work on that. So when ever we change the
external we get notified. :-) with an error in updating, but it will
keep you on the correct place.
