[Carbon-dev] Build failure - trunk features
I started building with a clean M2 repo. I was able to successfully build, dependencies, orbit, core and components. When I tried to build the features, I get the following error: [ERROR] BUILD ERROR [INFO] [INFO] ERROR Embedded error: System is offline. Try downloading the file manually from the project website. Sorry, by there has been a delay between the time I took the components update and the features update. This was the reason for the failure. I had to go back and build dependencies/commons/wsdl-validator and orbit/wsdl-validator. Seems like whoever added this component today has either not built or had not committed the changes to the messagebox component. With this kind of indiscipline, we will never be able to have a successful build. Is this the correct thing to do? If so, why hasn't it been added to the root pom.xml file and committed? Are people making these local changes and keeping it to themselves? The rationale behind this is, if we include a repository to a maven pom, maven checks and download dependencies from the set of repos. But if the artifact is a maven plugin (which is in this case, maven aar plugin) it does not try download from the given repositories unless we specifically say this using this pluginRepositories tag. We faced this during the Shopping-Cart sample compilation.
