Between, this is not BPS specific. This port is specific to the data sources
component.

You cannot add BPS specific stuff to the default carbon.xml file. However,
if certain elements are present in the carbon.xml, you could use those. This
is how we are planning to handle Cassandra ports as well.

I think you are referring to ports section of the carbon.xml. Yes we
have some ports configured there. But I dont think this is the right
thing to do. Config files related to BPS feature should bundled with
the BPS feature itself.
Now what we are trying to do is to put some port related to BPS in to
carbon core (carbon.xml).

This is somewhat confusing. For an example I don't want see config
properties related to BPS in my ESB binary.
just a thought.
