Many than thanks, Claudio. I'll wait until 7/31/2007 to see it that
fixes the problem. Otherwise I'll look for the parse like you
suggested.

Re: [Care2002-developers] Care2X and Appointment scheduler.

2007-07-26 Thread Robert Meggle
Hello Ranai,

That's a good idea. Let's check it there is any possible way (and we should
not forget some troubles what maybe a licence could make).
I haven't looked to such appointment scheduler so far but I have the feeling
that we have to modify it anyway. Now, let's take a look and not speculating
:-)

Hi Lopo,
I assume that Robson doesn't read English quite good. I've had that
problem many times at the apachES and phpMyAdmin translators site. The
SF mailer gives instructions in a language not understood by all. If
the mailer footer can be changed to include the message in other
languages, perhaps this might help Robson and future users. Just my two
cents.
All the very best,
Daniel

2007-07-26 Thread Claudio Giulio Torbinio
Hi carers
After the releasing of the v 2.4 of care2x, according with the others
project admins, the developer list will be revisited.
By using a tool like PHPProject, all the developer will have a part to
develop, with deadline and TCO.
Who can not work @ the project actively, will be removed from the dev list.
A new ML will be created for who is interest only on the adoption of Care2x.
I need to know exactly, how many hands can work on te project :)

2007-07-26 Thread Claudio Giulio Torbinio
Hi all
Next release (v 2.4) will be placed on 07/31/2007.
I am also using care2x on a machine with ubuntu, it works if you use a php
parser both for php 4 and 5
We are testing a framework (seagull) for the 3th generation of care2x.
U can find it on SVN rep.
We are planning to begin the php5 porting, with the adoption of this
framework.
Every goodwill developer is wellcome.

[Care2002-developers] Why not Php5 and beyond?

2007-07-26 Thread Anousak Souphavanh
Hi all,

I tried to install Care2000 in Ubuntu 7.04 and the only thing I have
issue is that Care2000 doesn't seem to work with PHP version 5. It
requires Php version below then 5. Is there away that I can tweak it
so that it will work with PHP 5.2.x? Thanks in advance for your kind
help.

Hi,
actually care2000 was developed in php 4.0.1 version, and there is a very
big difference in php5, this is the issue that every one is talking about
now a days, you have to wait for the newer version.

Re: [Care2002-developers] Help

2007-07-26 Thread Robert Meggle
Hello Steve,

Care2x is designed from the beginning as OOP application. Some
characteristics how OOP was used in PHP4 are not longer working with PHP5.
If you follow the wish list for PHP6 care2x is not the once and only
application who has troubles with the way how PHP5 is working.
Anyway, there are some developers who are actually working with php5
compatibility but out of my experiences to such kind work; a master code
review based on a common used framework like seagull is faster, more
reliable and better scalable for the future.

So php4 is either bad nor unsafe nor slow. It's just the forerunner of PHP5.

To solve this knot we are looking for a next release of care2x, called
care3x based on a framework and migrating the existing modules to it. This
will be a heavy work and brings us in a better position.

So for me it is not an issue of using php4. Most of the existing ISP's don't
using PHP5.

The other parts are usual and just trivial. Expand the folder and start the
installation script.
Just make sure that PHP4 is installed, mysql is up and running and your
apache is feeling well.

Hope it helps

c) Install xampp4linux with php4 support (www.apachefriends.org) and read
the xampp-manual for sec. issues

The other parts are usual and just trivial. Expand the folder and start the
installation script.
Just make sure that PHP4 is installed, mysql is up and running and your
apache is feeling well.

Hope it helps

Re: [Care2002-developers] Help

2007-07-26 Thread Robert Meggle
Hi!

Just one issue: with debian edge 4.0 there is php5 coming with it, or?

As usual in information science there are several ways for getting a
solution. Depending on your experiences with linux you can...
a) Compile an apache with php4 support
b) use a package gallery with php4, e.g.
http://packages.debian.org/stable/web/gallery2
c) Install xampp4linux with php4 support (www.apachefriends.org) and read
the xampp-manual for sec. issues

The other parts are usual and just trivial. Expand the folder and start the
installation script.
Just make sure that PHP4 is installed, mysql is up and running and your
apache is feeling well.

Hope it helps
 Robert

Hi All,

Thnk for such a perfect answer,
i have three databases running
1. Care2x
2. WebERP
3. Insurance

I have to send data from my insurance module to Care2x and WebERP, that
means all three Portals will share the with each other.
what i have done is, i created seprate classes for making a connection to
WebERP and Insurance module.

I Know its not the right way to do just for the time being insted of brain
storming in APIs of Care2x and WebERP(spending more time in analysis rather
then development).

[Care2002-developers] Wrong Care2x references

2007-07-26 Thread Care2x - Lopo de Almeida
Hi,

I don't know who put the C2x references at
http://www.ohloh.net/projects/1107 but they are so wrong.
Please, can the author (if around) correct them ;-)

Best,
Lopo
