Re: [casper] casper libraries- casper_xps in new mlib_devel?

2013-08-19 Thread Timothy Madden
Hi John

Thanks for the tip. I got the newest libraries.

Question: Is casper_xps no longer casper_xps? Seems to not be defined. What is
the command to bring up the xilinx compiler window.

Thanks
Tim

 Folks

It seems that the libraries listed on
 https://casper.berkeley.edu/wiki/Repositories

are all at least 2 years old.

Is there REALLY no development on Casper libraries for 2 years?

Where does one get something more recent?

 Tim Madden

It's all been moved to github. There are other forks as well. I'm not
sure of all of them, but these 2 will get you started. :)

John

It seems the https://github.com/casper-astro repo has bee_xps.m.
There is no casper_xps

The ska-sa repo has a casper_xps. I will try out the ska-aa repo.

2013-08-19 Thread Jack Hickish
Hi Tim,

The ska-sa repo is *much* more up-to-date than the casper-astro repo,
which still uses the old file naming conventions / directory
structures.

With the casper conference coming up in a couple of weeks, the
tutorials are being updated to work with the ska-sa master branch. The
official casper repo will also be brought up to date with these
improvements.

If you'll be using the tutorials -- keep an eye on the
https://github.com/casper-astro/tutorials_devel repo. New versions
will be going up in the next few days.

Cheers,
Jack

The bee_xps should work with the library that defines it.

So bee_xps has been changed to casper_xps and the casper mlib_devel will
reflect that when we update it for this years tutorials for the the CASPER
workshop.

If you are using the old libraries, just run bee_xps otherwise use run
casper_xps

Hi Tim,

That page needs to be updated or removed.

The repository that is used with our tutorials can be found here:

https://github.com/casper-astro/mlib_devel

We generally update this once a year, coinciding with the CASPER workshop.

There are other more active forks (e.g.*
https://github.com/sma-wideband/mlib_devel **
https://github.com/ska-sa/mlib_devel*) which have more bugfixes, features,
and hardware support, but may not be as stable.
