[cayugabirds-l] Red Tagged crow
I watched a red tagged crow (could not read number as it would not let me read by the way it sat), dipping its mouth in the snow on the parapet of the BTI lower roof in front of my office. So I thought it was eating snow, but turned out it had a piece of food, which it had dunk in the snow. The piece of food could not have been at the location as there is no way anybody could throw the food at that spot. So it suggests that the crow had brought it with it. After a few seconds it flew off with piece of whatever that was. It looked like flat piece of dry bread. Then I went out to trace the bird to see where it had flown. It was behind the BTI and was in the snow trying to eat the food. Then it decided that the road was the better choice to eat so landed on the road and stabbing at the food. But it was too far to read the number by 7x20 binoculars! I will keep an eye on this bird if I see it again.
