[cayugabirds-l] House Wren
I woke up to one singing near a nest box in the backyard. Happy spring! [cayugabirds-l] possible Ibis yard bird!
I hesitate to post this because I could not relocate the bird to confirm for sure, but while I was out in my yard about 7:45 am, a bird that looked like one of the dark Ibises flew over me and my house towards Cayuga Lake. Its vocalization sounded like the ones for Ibises that are in my Iphone apps. Since I see Ibises all the time in Florida, I was somewhat confident that is what this flyover bird was. So, probably a Glossy Ibis, based on range, but I know we occasionally have White Faced, too.
