[cayugabirds-l] OT: American song bird plates (dishes) on eBay
Based on recent communications re bird related auction, I’m taking the liberty of posting these plates, which look exceptionally well done. Assuming this is not quite appropriate, no worries, I won’t post items like this again. I have no stake in this auction, just appreciated the birds and thought someone might be interested. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FULL-SET-OF-8-SYRACUSE-CHINA-AMERICAN-SONG-BIRDS-Plate-Athos-Menaboni-RARE-NICE/153342495550?_trkparms=aid%3D333200%26algo%3DCOMP.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20171012094517%26meid%3D2ad739b31dff423aa6dc55d93ef4563e%26pid%3D18%26rk%3D6%26rkt%3D12%26sd%3D143098162478%26itm%3D153342495550&_trksid=p2047675.c18.m2219 Sent from Yahoo Mail for iPad -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
Re: [cayugabirds-l] 65 Sandhill Cranes
Does anyone know whether the cranes are still in the field on Armitage road? Re: [cayugabirds-l] Bald Eagle
I live on the South hill rec way, close to South hill school. I saw our first fireflies two nights ago. Yours, Betsy Hutchings On Jul 2, 2013, at 10:56 PM, Dave Nutter nutter.d...@me.com wrote: Our backyard, much of which is unmowed, is a haven for fireflies. We've had them for several weeks, and like Marty, I thought they were early this year, but I did not note the date. On the subject of Bald Eagles, I've checked the nest in Ulysses a couple of times, including as recently as 30 June. I've only seen one youngster in branches above the nest, but for a change, one or two adults has also been perched in the nest tree. Maybe they are getting less shy, or maybe with only one youngster this year they are less busy. --Dave Nutter On Jul 02, 2013, at 10:48 PM, Marty Schlabach m...@cornell.edu wrote: Meena, We had fireflies in early June and possibly earlier. Finally, they are here. The Fireflies! About 30 + flying in the front and back yard. Till yesterday I had not seen them, so I was wondering if changes in the plant compositions changed the habitat for them. But no, I think they just were late in emerging this year. I went out to switch on moth lights, and was glad to observe fourth of July fireworks in the yard! I know Karen Edelstein posted seeing them a couple of weeks ago. Has anyone else seen them earlier this year?
