The article was sort of lost because of where it was. Who expects to read about
birds in a "crappie" fishing article???
WeLoveBirds.org launched on 11 Feb. 2010 (mentioned today in the Ithaca Journal
article "Anglers cash in crappie derby") is "an interactive online community
for bird enthusiasts, launched through the combined effort of the Natural
Resources Defense Council & the Cornell Lab of Ornithology."
The site is to have info on more than 500 bird species, other bird news, notes
on scientific discoveries & be an open area for birders to contribute their
thoughts.
Miyoko Chu says, "It is an area where birders can connect with one another
around the issue that they care about ... where they can also easily tap into a
wealth of resources to enhance their enjoyment of birds ..."
Google the site to get more info.
