About 6:30 p.m. today, 4.26.13, Becky & I stopped to check on the eagles at
Mud Lock .... saw both. One appeared to be feeding chicks but couldn't see
clearly in the glare.

Atop the former eagle platform at the lock sat an osprey. Another was perched
in a nearby tree. Will they or won't they use the nest?????

We saw ospreys on 5 of the nests along 5 & 20 as well as on the refuge platform
nest along the river north of the 5 & 20 bridge. Also saw several cormorants
flying above the river (:>((( ... Boo.

Two prs. of buffles continue on the Mill pond here in Union Springs. Didn't
have time to see if the male redhead was there.
A Cooper's hawk tried for breakfast out back this a.m. but left hungry. A small
flock of juncos continues to come to the feeders.

On Wed. I paid $3.39.9 for gas here in the Springs.
