Naomi's posting reminded me to put out this request for information. I'm looking to photograph and video Pileated Woodpecker for an upcoming multi-media project. If anyone knows of/finds a regularly-used Pileated feeding channel in a treetrunk, or better yet a nest later in the spring, I'd really appreciate hearing about it. As always, I offer a nice print as a reward should the photography prove successful.
Thanks very much! There was quite a flurry as the woodpecker tilted back, wings >outspread and with his feet let Mr. squirrel have it !
