[cayugabirds-l] Tagged Snow Goose
I have a photo of a tagged snow goose with a yelllow neck collar number 55AY see: http://www.flickr.com/photos/davenicosia/8242992024/in/photostream Is this how they band snow geese or is this a special project? I would like to report it to whoever has tagged this bird. If anyone knows or has an idea, let me know. Thanks! Three years ago I reported two such yellow bands which I photographed at the mucklands, one banded there also, the other banded in Bylot Island way up in the north. Pretty neat to know where our snow geese come from. I checked and this bird was re-found at Middle Creek WMA in southeast PA this past spring. This is a cool. Thanks so much Suan.
