Hi all, Since it has been produced, I have been keen on seeing this film. So I want to get this film "The Messenger" about songbirds, which has features from Bill Evan's Migratory study project to Ithaca as it is not being shown here. There are various ways one could get this film to be viewed by the group. We can hire a theater such as Cornell Cinema or Cinemapolis, this would involve no upfront payment or we can show it in a hall where there is digital projector available. It is nice to see on a big screen with surround sound set up. The cost per person can vary from $4 to 7 per person depending on the size of the crowd we are getting. But before deciding where we would like to show, I would like to know from the community if you would be interested in such a screening. If so please respond to me to this Doodle query http://doodle.com/poll/e3v8na7zpi8tmmsq
This could be done under any auspices for example if Cayuga Bird Club is willing to host then it would be awesome. First I am seeing how much of interest is there in bringing it to Ithaca, then I will look for a sponsorship if necessary. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LjQtRr4CKcc Dr. Meena Haribal 409, Boyce Thompson Institute (BTI) Ithaca NY 14853 USA Email: m...@cornell.edu<mailto:m...@cornell.edu> http://haribal.org/ http://meenaharibal.blogspot.com/ Ithaca area moths: http://tinyurl.com/kn6q2p4 Dragonfly book sample pages: http://www.haribal.org/140817samplebook.pdf -- Cayugabirds-L List Info: http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsWELCOME http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsRULES http://www.NortheastBirding.com/CayugabirdsSubscribeConfigurationLeave.htm ARCHIVES: 1) http://www.mail-archive.com/cayugabirds-l@cornell.edu/maillist.html 2) http://www.surfbirds.com/birdingmail/Group/Cayugabirds 3) http://birdingonthe.net/mailinglists/CAYU.html Please submit your observations to eBird: http://ebird.org/content/ebird/ --
