*Position:- Senior Web Applications Security Engineer* *Location:- NYC, NY* *Duration:- 6+ Months* *MOI:- Telephonic + Face 2 Face * *JD:* · Candidate will have a background in *Front & Backend Development* AND *Web Application Security *at the coding level. The focus of this position is to make sure there are no vulnerabilities in the code *Daily responsibilities include* · *Enhancement of Website Security:* You will review daily/weekly scans from HP-Fortify and address any issues, either through escalation or your own ability to write code · *Policies and Procedures for Security: *Work with the developers to educate and enhance their abilities to understand security, and develop best practices and procedures in order to do so. · The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of backend and frontend development with technologies like *Java, JavaScript, CSS, HTML and Angular*. This is not a web development role, however, this person will be responsible for reviewing code to ensure that there are no vulnerabilities. This person can code and work on web development, however, it is not the main function of the role. · Currently, the client is utilizing *HP-Fortify (SCA – Static Code Analyzer) *to scan code. This is a strong plus if a candidate is familiar with this system. - The main responsibility of this role is to ensure that all code is secure and that there are no vulnerabilities. If there are, this candidate must know how to troubleshoot and fix the issue. - This candidate should be able to assist in enhancing website security. - Will be required to look at scans daily and pass on issues to the development team or take on the issue themselves. This will be about ½ of the day’s responsibilities as there are a lot of developers and coding updates throughout the day. - Qualified candidates should be proactive, responsible and trustworthy. - Well rounded personality is important for this person to have as they will need to get along well with a large team.
