It should show as unregistered with an IP address next to it (if you are
in the CTI Route Point Find screen). Do you have the IP address? If so, it
is all good.

2010-04-22 Thread Angel Perez

Hi:

Did you add the cti route point at ipma service parameter?

You have to do it at both pub and sub server becouse this parameter is not
clusterwide and apply only to one server

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX Scripting

2010-04-22 Thread Pulos, Greg
It's possiblebut you'll have to change the way in which you provide the 1
for customer support and the option to dial-by-extension since your extensions
begin with 1 as well. Just a bit like building an algorithm.think it out
clearly first.

Please see the following link for the CCX scripting information you'll need.

Thank you.

Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX Scripting

Hello All,

I have 2 questions for you

I need to create a script for an AA, the main prompt will allow the user to
dial the extension if the know it or wait to listen to the menu options

for the menu I need to use a menu step no big deal, and i'm thinking to create
a variable that will store the digits the customer pressed and then with a call
transfer try to reach that extension. however my problem or question comes how
do i merge this 2 options together, allow the caller to dial the extension
while at the same time know when he presses 1 for customer service and is not
trying to reach ext 1002 ?

also is there a way to prompt the option to the caller if he is in the queue to
leave a vm, however instead of leaving a vm record the prompt, put it on an
e-mail and then sent it to a queue and then have the e-mail to be delivered to
the next available agent ?
I don't think it's possible but the sales engineer sold this option and i have
to implement it and i just don't think is possible

maybe you've done it before or something similar

thanks

Cristobal

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] FRF12 Calculation Clarification

2010-04-22 Thread Jeff Cotter
There is a huge number of posts on this, and explanations are all over the
board. Trying to get a definitive answer.

When calculating the size of LLQ AND utilizing FRF.12. Is the Layer 2 overhead
4 bytes for Frame Relay or 8 Bytes.

SRND states 8 Solution Guides appear to use 4 or 7. One post indicates if
configured properly voice packets will not be fragmented therefore use standard
Frame Relay overhead of 4 bytes. This seems logicalThanks

You also need to configure some ad-hoc conference ephone-dn(s). Then
this should work.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] VLAN port speed and duplex

2010-04-22 Thread Bo Gao
Hi guys,

I am just starting my lab prep, and I am at lab 1A.

When a port is combined with both voice and data, do we need to manually set
port speed and duplex(i.e., 10/half) for the exam?

Thank you,

Bo

For the exam, no. All routing is pre-configured and if there is any
issues you need to get the proctor involved.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Vol2 Lab1 4.2 issue

2010-04-22 Thread Roger Henderson
Kevin,

I had this problem yesterday sending calls through my H323 gateway. It
turned out to be related to the IP Blue softphones which I'll wager you are
using, Kevin as your problem looks mighty similar. With the IP Blue
softphones the LAST softphone to startup will be able to send and receive
sound - the others won't (at least this is true after any non-initial
startups of the phone). The IP Blue softphone that starts last needs to be
on the VOIP leg of the call and the silent one on the other leg.

This workaround solved my problem (after 8 hours of troubleshooting) and I
had the same error code (47) as you did with one end of the call still
ringing when the other had answered. Turns out the silent softphone doesn't
send an OLC message as part of the H245 setup and that stops the call setup
process from working successfully.

Then again I could be wrong (again). :)

Roger

PS I sent this twice because I got a bounce message from the server.

When calculating the size of LLQ AND utilizing FRF.12. Is the Layer 2
overhead 4 bytes for Frame Relay or 8 Bytes.

SRND states 8 Solution Guides appear to use 4 or 7. One post indicates if
configured properly voice packets will not be fragmented therefore use
standard Frame Relay overhead of 4 bytes. This seems logical……..Thanks
