[OSL | CCIE_Voice] mls qos trust dscp on Nexus 7k

2010-10-14 Thread Jason Aarons (US)
Is there a way to tell a port (eth1/1) on a Nexus 7010 to trust dscp?

Normally for Unity/CallManager/IOS Voice Gateways I put a "mls qos trust dscp"
on the those interface. What is Nexus equivalent?

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Gatekeeper Issue

2010-10-14 Thread Tamer Ismail
Hello Experts,

I have problem in integrating GK with CUCM and BR2, showing below all
configuration I made for the integration.

The problem in prefix #1 the only prefix register on GW (3 is not, which
should come from BR2).

And also CUCM pub is the old server register to GK (sub is not).

Please check configuration and tell me, maybe I forget something.

. Change service parameter with gk-trunk value.

. Change signaling port in gateway page to be 1820

Any way I think CUCM configuration should not affect Sub only to not be

Thanks in advance,

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CCIE_Voice Digest, Vol 56, "H323 GW on the CUCM Doesn't Prefix "+/+1/+1212" for any ISDN Type Numbering Plan

2010-10-14 Thread Sriharshaa Prabhakar
Hi All,

It is working, found the problem, it was my mistake that I bound the H323 to a
wrong interface on the HQ Router. Oops got to be very careful, this mistake
costed me 3 Hrs during my practice...

Subject: CCIE_Voice Digest, Vol 56, "H323 GW on the CUCM Doesn't Prefix
"+/+1/+1212" for any ISDN Type Numbering Plan

Hi All,

I was doing Lab 5 and was following Vik and tried doing the same configuration
on the CUCM where I have H323 GW to HQ PSTN and MGCP to BR1/SITEB PSTN. I
noticed a strange behavior when I had to prefix for +1212 for Globalizaing the
Calling Party of HQ PSTN to +12123942123 for type Subscriber it never worked at
all. From the CCM Trace I can see that the Configuration was successfully
processed and updated however the +1212 doesn't get prefixed to the calls
coming in thru the H323 GW. I further tested for the MGCP Gateways and it works
flawless. I tried doing the same on the Service Parameter and it works and now
the problem is I have HQ & BR1 sending 7 Digits Caller ID and I have to prefix
+1212 on the HQ Side & +1617 on the BR1 Side which I cannot if I have to update
this parameter globally I can only do this if the PSTN is sending me 10 Digits
where in I just have to prefix +1 to Globalize the Calling Party Number.

I apply the +1212 on the H323 GW once again and from the Trace it is evident
that the CM processes the configuration

But the Phone only displays 3942123
Now I will configure the +1212 Prefix Globally in the Service Parameters &
leave the +1617 on the MGCP as it is and verify the trace once again.

were prefixed with +1212+16178631001. This is a disaster.

Alternatively I tried configure a Voice Translation Rules in the lines as shown

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Call Handler Operation

2010-10-14 Thread Amr Sherif

Hello Experts,

Regarding call handler When making a Call Handler on UC, I'm creating a system
call handler ,assign it a dn and then create a CTI RP on ccm and check the
checkmark of CFW ALL to voicemail , Now here is the sitiuationsometimes it
works and the call successfully go to the call handler and play the opening
greeting ( which is the default one) which is happened rarely with me but most
of the time it give me that---> " Sorry, call handler name is not available,
record your message @ the tone blah blah blah " .i dont understand i read all
the documents and all are describing the same steps.

The strang thing is that if i add the same extension to the built-in opening
greeting ,vola it works and give me the prompt for opening greeting , why is
that happening and how to configure this in a right way.

Please Help

Even if someone did know the usernames/passwords, to post them would be
in violation of NDA.
Just use something short and simple for your own lab, such as "admin |
cisc0123".

cheers, sd
