[OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUE GUI login

All,

I'm in WB2 Lab 4, have done a factory restore on the CUE module, gone through 
initial setup successfully.
When I try to login to the GUI via http://10.10.202.2/Web/index.html, it says 
'waiting for 10.10.202.2/Web/Common/HomePage.do' and nothing shows up, blank 
page. Both IE and Firefox.

All,
I'm working on the 5-Lab workbooks (labs 1 and 2). CCX does not seem to be 
integrated into CM correctly. 
The rmjtapi user is not in CM, the rmcm subsystem will not start in CCX, the 
End User page doesn't have the IPCC extension field, and 'IPCC Express 
Installed' shows as False in Enterprise Parameters in CM.
I've created the rmjtapi user in CM and the rmcm subsystem starts, but no IPCC 
extension field appears.
Has it happened to anyone else? Is it an embedded gotcha in the lab?

When you say refresh, do you mean changing the password? Still doesn't create 
the rmjtapi user in CM. After manually creating the user and associating 
phones, it still doesn't create the IPCC extension field.
This seems like an invalid installation.

I believe this is by design to get you well practiced in fixing things that 
might be wrong on the real lab.

First the IPCC is a known issue, to resolve it go to your standard cisco page 
(one available in the lab)  Go to products->voice and unified 
communication->customer collaboration->cisco unified contact center 
products->UCCX

once there look for call manager and specifically
ICD Extension Option Does Not Appear on the Cisco CallManager Global Directory 
User

note that near the bottom is the previously sent string (change F to T) to 
paste into your CUCM publisher via an SSH session. I have sometimes had to do 
this twice to get it to work.

I believe the rest of the integration is completed by fixing the user accounts 
and passwords, I have had no troubles once I reenter the passwords on both 
servers to match and create the proper (missing) user accounts on CUCM

Hi Peter,
Are you using the 5LAB workbooks? I've had the same problem.
Run this command from the Publisher CLI:

run sql update processconfig set paramvalue="T" where paramname like 
'%installed%'

You should now see the IPCC extension under End User, Enterprise Parameters 
should show IPCC Express Installed as 'True'.

If you are also missing the rmjtapi application user in CM, the quickest way to 
get the RMCM subsystem running in CCX is to manually create the application 
user in CM and make sure it matches up with CCX. Then your agents should show 
up in CCX.

Not sure if this is an 'exam' troubleshooting issue or just a glitch with 
Proctor Labs, but they haven't fixed it. It's not in the DSG.

[OSL | CCIE_Voice] Lab Exam Speed Strategy

To All,

I took my second attempt on Monday, March 25 and did not pass.
I was hoping for some insight on concrete suggestions to get faster.
I didn't get hung up on any one task, I seemed to keep moving forward and tried 
to type as fast as I could, using CLI shortcuts, etc.
I used the device-based methodology and I feel pretty confident of my technical 
knowledge.
Yet I didn't even get to many tasks at all, I would have needed another 2-3 
hours to complete all tasks.
I hear of candidates completing all tasks in 6-7 hours, which means I would 
need to become twice as fast as my last attempt.
It almost sounds insurmountable. Do I need to take typing classes?

Any recommendations that don't break the NDA would be greatly appreciated.

Make sure you have an IP route to the CUE module IP Address from all your 
routers and servers.

You need to make sure the Loopback interface you're using for your 
Service-Module is part of OSPF.

The CUE module address has to be pingable from everywhere. Example:

"Ip route 10.10.115.2 255.255.255.255 Service-Engine 0/0" on your CUE router.

All,

I had a very frustrating session this morning. I could not login to the 
Publisher, even though I could connect with the browser. Didn't work in IE or 
Firefox. I could log into the subscriber but saw that there was a configuration 
already loaded. When I tried to save any changes, just got 'Connecting' in the 
browser, no further. Never could do anything with CallManager.

I reverted and loaded two other labs, same issue. It seems the Pod29 was 
extremely messed up.

Saturday's session loaded a completely different lab from the one I requested. 
Had to revert and load again, 25 minutes down the drain.

Proctorlabs Support, I am requesting two vouchers for the 8 hour session that I 
couldn't work on. There are some serious bugs in your lab gear.

Hi All,

I don't know what to say or whom to complain to?

This's the second day I'm having difficulty in working in my online sessions 
with Proctorlabs vracks.

I contacted supp...@ipexpert.com<mailto:supp...@ipexpert.com> and 
supp...@proctorlabs.com<mailto:supp...@proctorlabs.com> and afterhours support 
but no one answering

Yesterday I asked  the support if I can extend my current session by booking a 
new following session but no one answered. I tried booking  a new following 
session hoping it will be linked up automatically but unfortunately it didn't.

So after that I had to stop my work after feeling frustrated.

Today I booked three consecutive sessions but the same problem happened again 
but in a different form.
I noticed the remaining time is 3 hrs and 40 minutes in the first session and 
informed the support guys but no one is answering.
After finishing my first session, I thought it will be disconnected but the 
remaining time changed to 24 hours. Okay feeling happy with the new hours but 
then maybe after about 30 minutes I found my telnet session got disconnected 
and I can't access them or access the servers and after refreshing my account 
at Proctorlabs site , I found the pod has changed. So means everything has gone.

The sessions were not linked-up as what they told us.

I just wonder whom to complain in such cases?

BTW,I also  schedule sessions in the other competitor company vracks but to say 
the truth I found their support and response are very good. Not only that but 
they gave me back my credits and more.

There are no open dates in either San Jose or RTP anymore, period.

Looks like if we want to take the Voice exam, which I’m sure Cisco doesn’t want 
us to do anymore, then it’s either Tokyo or we’re SOL.

Very disappointing.

I've put together my voice lab and I'm having a routing issue which is 
preventing me from completing the setup.

>From SiteA-rtr, I cannot ping 10.10.100.3 on the 3750. The switch cannot ping 
>10.10.100.1 on the router.
I have the PSTN-WAN router connected to f1/0/24 on the switch.
>From PSTN router I can ping 10.10.100.3 but not 10.10.100.1.
The servers can all talk to each other, and the SiteA router can ping the 
servers, but the servers cannot ping 10.10.100.2 (NTP).
It seems to be the connection from Switch port 1 to SiteA router subinterface 
for VLAN 101 only.
The initial configurations came directly from Proctorlabs and I've edited from 
there.
Can anyone take a look and see what I'm missing. It must be something obvious 
but I'm not seeing it.

I do not believe it is related to vmware environment. I am assuming your CUPS 
is integrated with CUCM using SIP trunk.

Can you enable SIP debug level to detail and run collect SIP debug logs ( on 
primary call processing engine i.e. Sub) and check SIP logs  why there is delay 
in status.?
Im my home lab I never had this issue it works almost instantly my CUPS client 
is installed on UCCX server.
