Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Registration problem with CUCME as SIP Phone
Hi Guys Thanks for your inputs. The phone finally registered. I followed the following steps:- 1). Shutdown the f0/3/1 port - Port to which phone was connected 2). No create cnf 3). No create profile 4). Create profile 5). Reload the router 6). No shut the interface This was because the phone was looking for SEP*.cnf instead of hitting the default and downloading the SIP files. Cheers, --Gobind On Sun, Nov 8, 2009 at 1:48 PM, Brian Valentine bkvalent...@gmail.com wrote: Ah, we see the SIP001BD4C6C85E.cnf file... that's good. Now, look inside each of these files using more SEP001BD4C6C85E.cnf.xml and more SIP001BD4C6C85E.cnf. What do they contain? If you delete the SEP001BD4C6C85E.cnf.xml file, the phone won't find it in flash. It should then search for SIP001BD4C6C85E.cnf. If it can't find that, it will look for XMLDefault.cnf.xml and then SIPdefault.cnf. So, delete it and shut/no shut the switchport. A couple of other thoughts. 1) I do not believe your phone is going to register without username/password and authentication enabled. 2) You may need to convert the firmware using CUCM and then connect it to CUCME. Many people prefer that method to convert it to SIP out of the gate, because CUCME can be so cantankerous when switching from SCCP to SIP loads. I think Vik recommended this as his preferred meathod. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] SCCP to SIP upgrade on 7960 problem
Hi Jeremy I just faced this problem fairly recently. The problem is that your phone is looking for SEP*.cnf file, but it should hit default and download SIP file. I followed these steps:- 1). Shutdown the f0/3/1 port - Port to which phone was connected 2). No create cnf 3). No create profile 4). Create profile 5). Reload the router (To clear cached cnf file) 6). No shut the interface If it doesn't work then please capture and send the output of debug tftp events again after following these steps. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Now Sccp to SIP by CCM and registration rejected!!
Hi Jeremy Try this:- 1. Delete the phone entry, turn off Auto-Registration and manually add phone as SIP 2. Delete the entry, restore the CUCM to fresh image if its VMware or if you are using Proctor Labs, otherwise make sure you delete the entries for previous registrations and turn on Auto-Registration to SIP. I preferred clean image in my case as it was easy due to PL's user interface where you can do it with a click. 3. Also try restart the TFTP,CUCM service and hard resetting the phone. I leave the old crypto ipsec client ezvpn commands in their so I can just change what pod I am using right before I start my labbing. I do have a bit differnet setup since I have a dedicated inside interface for my labbing traffic but it isn't much different than someone with a 2 interface router running EZVPN. Also, make sure you are offering up option 150 on your home DHCP pool that points to the CCM's in your lab (needs to also be changed before the start of each lab). Let me know if you have any other questions. --- Daniel Dellinger [EMAIL PROTECTED] wrote: I'd like to use the proctor labs easyvpn config so I can register my phones to CCM/CME at proctor labs during lab sessions. Today DSL modem has public IP x.x.x.x on wan port and private subnet for pc's 192.168.1.0/24 Thanks in advance, Jacob Owen CCIE #14063 (RS, Service Provider), CCVP, CCDP -- Message: 2 Date: Sun, 8 Jun 2008 12:17:05 -0700 (PDT) From: Jacob Owen [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Proctor Labs Easy VPN setup To: OSL CCIE Voice Lab Exam ccie_voice@onlinestudylist.com Message-ID: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Content-Type: text/plain; charset=iso-8859-1 Daniel, Have you tried to apply the configs and it didn't work? You don't need to use the entire EZVPN configs but something similar to the following (what I have on my home device). crypto
