Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] tranfer to Voicemail button for CME - CUE

2013-05-22 Thread Kirill Groshev
Hi,

ephone-dn 5
 number *4001
 call-forward all 4001

Since the busy trigger the line is 1, the call will be forwarded to VM of
4001, otherwise it's forwarded to VM of extension *4001, which is not
configured.

Hope that helps.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] NO Extension in CME-SRST

2013-05-17 Thread Kirill Groshev
Hi,

For me it usually happened the second time the phones fallback to CME SRST.
The third time and on the extensions show up fine. Is it the case?

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Avaya firmware upgrade

2013-05-17 Thread Kirill Groshev
Maybe it's kind of off-topic, but this is not Avaya technical support
center mailer list, neither it is Cisco support mailer alias. This is the
study group for those who prepare to take their CCIE Voice lab exam.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] [DHCP Static Binding Origin FIle]

2013-05-16 Thread Kirill Groshev
Hi,

The Internet explorer is very slow, so don't rely on documentation much.
Personally I create the pool and do the

ip dhcp database dhcp-static
No service dhcp
Service dhcp

command. After restarting the dhcp server the file is created and populated
properly so you just have to edit it.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] h323 fast start

2013-05-13 Thread Kirill Groshev
Hi gentlemen,
I was getting the CallManager service traces and looking for incoming
andh225 setup messages with h245 elements. You will see the keyword
"faststart" in the trace as well as offered codec. However, this approach
is quite time consuming.

Cheers,
Kirill

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] CUPC Client Offline; rather than Available

2013-05-03 Thread Kirill Groshev
Hi Joe,

What do you see in the Server Health section in CUPC? Is it
"Connecting..."? Just a few quick thoughts:
1. Check the domain name in UP Proxy Service settings.
2. Check if your host, on which you run CUPC has the hosts file updated
properly so that it can reach CUPS using its domain name.

Cheers,
Kirill

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Regarding H323 fast start

2013-05-03 Thread Kirill Groshev
Hi Govri,

I haven't been replying on this list, but couldn't resist this one. If
you've decided to get CCIE Voice, would be nice to know the basics of voice
protocols and read the CUCM configuration guide. And regarding the traces,
you can get them with this command:

File list activelog cm/trace/ccm/sdi date detail

Find the latest trace and issue the command:

File tail activelog cm/trace/ccm/sdi/ccm00*

Don't forget to set the detailed tracing level in Serviceability
configuration.

Cheers,
Kirill
