If you are associated with an appropriate partner, research NFR licensing, it can be purchased for about $250(US) through the website. Includes just about everything except VCS Original Message Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] 9971 IP phones From: Mike O'Nan. When the demo license expires just restore to the snapshot for another demo period. I have also heard rumors of a license for lab use. Unfortunately I'm not sure how to get one. During one of the breaks I asked him if 2900/3900 routers were really needed for study, and how many 9971's would I need. A lot of us have made significant investments in our home labs and the 2800/3800 series routers are still viable platforms. His response was we would need at least one 2911 with PVDM3's in order to set up a video conference, and three 9971's with the cameras. I hope this helps everyone who is planning on purchasing or upgrading home labs. Bill On Fri, May 30, 2014 at 8:24 AM, Andy Vassar wrote: Great find Mike! Thanks for sharing! Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Cisco Voice Home Lab
If you are building a lab at this point, no matter which version of the test you are going to attempt I would build to the new Collaboration spec. For example, to tun the specified code for the vgwys, you must have at least 29xx hardware, but to run the correct train for the Voice spec you need 28xx hardware.Seems that since most everyone does a few attempts (including me, getting ready for my 3rd) that ultimately you will end up with the Collaboration at some point unless you pass the first time. All of that being said, 28xx hardware is getting pretty cheap. I think I am going to add a single 29xx platform to learn the differences and the leave the rest on the 28xx equipment.Steve Original Message Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Cisco Voice Home Lab From: Josh PetroDate: Wed, July 31, 2013 2:24 pm To: LorenzLGRC Cc: CCIE Voice Study List Agreed. No reason to rush an attempt at the current version. Unless you've studied for the current track previously and feel confident, I would highly suggest going for the Collaboration track. Im testing tomorrow for the first time after 9 months of studying and if I were in your shoes, I would wait for the Collaboration lab to be available. Just start studying now. If you have the IPExpert VoDs, that's a great start and helps cement concepts. I also created a notebook, segmented by topic that I've been updating throughout my study time. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX agent ready state
That is expected behaviour. The assumption is that if the agent did not pick up the phone the first time, they are probably not physically present, therefore no further calls are presented until the agent pushes the button when they return to the desk.Steve Original Message Subject: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] UCCX agent ready state From: Karen JohnsonDate: Wed, July 31, 2013 2:06 pm To: "ccie_voice@onlinestudylist.com" Cc: "ccie_voice@onlinestudylist.com" all, when i call 4000, and it will ring agent 4101. if I did not pick up the call, call will go to "Not Readt" stateHowever it never come back to "Ready state" I have config CSQ and Resource Section in UCCX to "Automatic Work = Enable" but still it won't go to Ready state until we manually do it from phone. Is that expected or I need to do something in config ?K ___ For more information regarding industry leading CCIE Lab training, please visit www.ipexpert.com Are you a CCNP or CCIE and looking for a job? Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Access list for cue traffic marking
Maybe I am missing something so please forgive me, and to recap, the question was LAN QoS and CUE (not WAN).The example below (which is pretty much out of the SRND) will correctly mark the traffic, but only going out the serial port. It seems to me that you would want to mark the traffic inbound from the CUE module to the router in which it resides so that no matter how the traffic exits the router it will be handled correctly. Can you mark the traffic as it leaves the AIM module and is passed to the router? As far as the policy map on the serial port, wouldn't we want to see all traffic correctly prioritized not just the CTI-QBE to answer the question correctly if we were to look at the WAN QoS?I assume for traffic leaving on an LAN port to a switch, the switch would have the appropriate trust statements and since we marked on the packets as they transition from the AIM to the router prioritization and re-marking would not be an issue?Steve Original Message Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Access list for cue traffic marking From: LorenzLGRCDate: Sun, July 07, 2013 5:25 am To: Piyush Jain Cc: "ccie_voice@onlinestudylist.com" Hello, you can use something like this:access-list 101 permit tcp host a.b.c.d any eq 2748 ! class-map match-all cti-qbe match access-group 101 ! policy-map cti-qbe class cti-qbe set dscp af31 bandwidth 20 ! interface Serial0/1 service-policy output cti-qbeOn Sun, Jul 7, 2013 at 6:06 AM, Piyush Jain wrote: Hi Guys, I am trying to understand how we can mark CUE traffic on HQ Switch to implement LAN QOS. Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Re-Built PUB
If you rebuild the pub from scratch, it will be unaware that there is a sub in existence (even if you have added the IP address through the GUI which only grants permission). I think the only time a sub gets added to the database for replication is when you actually build it and it initializes for the first time. Have not had a chance to try it but, if you change your route pattern to [5-9]XXX[0-9]XX and use the translation to remove the hash, it should eliminate the overlap on the 5th digit.Steve Original Message Subject: Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Internal numbers overlap with one route pattern From: Chrysostomos ChristofiDate: Thu, September 20, 2012 8:45 am To: Kevin Spicer Cc: "Online Study (ccie_voice@onlinestudylist.com)" Hi Kevin The delay is exactly the same Without translation pattern is 5 seconds.
