Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Configuring Voice-Card for DSPFarm
With the PVDM 1, you can't even enter dspfarm under the voice-card config...It takes you to the dspfarm configuration items... For the PVDM2, you can either use no dspfarm or dspfarm, then dsp services dspfarm. I believe that if the PVDM2 will be shared for voice circuits and dsp resources, then the command no dspfarm must be used. If the voice-card is not shared with voice circuits, then you can use the dspfarm command... Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] Configuring Voice-Card for DSPFarm
Correct. dspfarm allows AIM's or VWICs to access the DSPs for mapping. dsp services dspfarm allows for dspfarms to be created for xcoders and conf bridges. @Kevin, hmmm, not sure which phys platform you are working on - but the dspfarm command originated in 12.1.5XM - long prior to there being a PVDM2 on the market and was needed for mapping dsps to various AIM- VOICE-30 and VWICs back in 36xx routers. http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/ios/voice/command/reference/vr_d2.html#wp1444552 -- Mark Snow CCIE #14073 (Voice, Security) Senior Technical Instructor - IPexpert, Inc.
