and we have done about the mwi part for cue integrated with cucm?

CUCM doesn't need MWI config, the JTAPI integration takes cae of it. The MWI
application deals with SIP outcall, but in most scenarios SIP unsolicited (or
notify) is the better choice, especially if you need MWI in SRST mode.

As far as I know, you must initialize through the cli guide and after that you
can configure it through the gui or cli. Some people say learn cli because
its faster but I prefer the gui. If you find some documentation that shows the
initialization through the Gui let us know. The cli initialization is just
answering questions so I am not sure why you would want to do this through GUI
anyway.

Re: [OSL | CCIE_Voice] QUESTION FOR THE LAB

2012-11-22 Thread Kevin Spicer
Personally I preferred the CLI for CME integrations and the GUI for CUCM
integrations, because:
Its quicker and less error prone to manually add two users and mailboxes
for CME than to set up axl integration between the two
Its less error/omission prone to set up JTAPI integration for CUCM through
the GUI (as this requires a reboot mistakes are costly) and the CUCM AXL
integration to import the users is also quick and easy.

The answer is to any question like this is that you can do whatever you want as
long as your method is not told to you by the lab question and your method also
does not violate the do's and dont's stated at the beginning of the lab
