It was a permissions problem with the tmp directory. I thought I changed it, 
but alas it was set to root.

Jason, I think you shoud install ccp4 without root permitios and it
will work properly.

 I then sourced the ccp4.setup and ccp4-others.setup for the proper shell,

 CCP4i encountered an error when trying to extract the data from
 /home/jcp/KAuCN/new_refine/sad.mtz
 You can view the output from the mtzdump program which mayand so on.

 file does not exist /tmp/jcp/sad.mtz

 Now I think the problem might have to do with permissions. When I run ccp4i
 as root, I do not get this problem.

 Any suggestions?

[ccp4bb] Met auxotroph and aa-mix

Dear all,

I want to make a Se-Met-labeled protein using the Met auxotroph strain B834. 
All the protocols I've found require addition of aa-mix. Has anyone expressed 
in this strain without the aa-mix? Any ideas and suggestions?
