[ccp4bb] postdoc position cryo-EM available (Bajic lab, New York)

2021-10-29 Thread Goran Bajic
We are looking for a postdoctoral candidate with experience in single-particle
cryo-EM and willingness to learn virology and immunology.
Ph.D. in Biochemistry, Biophysics or a related discipline is required.
Tomography (cryo-ET) experience is an asset but not a pre-requisite.
The Bajic lab uses structural biology (cryo-EM and X-ray crystallography),
virology and immunology approaches to answer fundamental, mechanistic questions
in immune responses to viral pathogens. The
position is for a postdoctoral trainee interested in host immune recognition
mechanisms of influenza, SARS-CoV-2, Chikungunya, and other viruses.

The position is available as soon as possible, but the start date is negotiable.

[ccp4bb] post-doctoral position in New York

2020-08-14 Thread Goran Bajic
Hi all,

We are looking for an enthusiastic post-doctoral fellow with experience in
cryo-EM to join our group at the Department of Microbiology at Mount Sinai
in New York City.

We use structural biology, virology and immunology approaches to answer
fundamental, mechanistic questions in immune responses to viral pathogens.
The position is for a post-doctoral fellow interested in biophysical
studies of B-cell receptor complexes and antibody responses to influenza,
SARS-CoV-2 and other viruses.

We have ample access to state-of-the-art electron microscopes through the
New York Structural Biology Center, of which Mount Sinai is a member
institution, as well as access to synchrotron radiation for X-ray
crystallographic studies at several national light sources.

Please reach out to Goran Bajic to apply or to learn more about the
opportunity.

[ccp4bb] O-linked glycans

2018-07-23 Thread Goran Bajic
Hi all,

I may have an O-linked glycan in one of my structures and I was wondering
if someone has any experience building these? I think COOT only handles
N-linked glycans.

Thanks,
Goran
