[ccp4bb] AstraZeneca Boston team leader position

2009-03-26 Thread Pauptit, Richard A
A permament crystallography team leader position is being advertised at the
AstraZeneca research site in Boston, USA. The job involves structure-based
drug design support for local infection and oncology activities, and
supervising a new team of two highly talented crystallographers. The team
leader will report to me at Alderley Park, UK. In honesty, I should warn that
it is becoming increasingly difficult to get these positions unless you have
some kind of permanent residence status in the US, otherwise there is the usual
requirement to demonstrate that there are no suitably qualified US candidates,
which in our field is generally a non-starter.

We're looking for someone with significant post- PhD experience, broad
scientific credibility, previous drug design, industrial or high throughput
experience would be valuable, previous people responsibilities would be
valuable, and we'd be looking for good interpersonal, communication and
networking skills.

If you're interested, you need to submit a cv via the career links in
AstraZeneca web pages. You can visit www.astrazeneca-us.com, or
www.astrazeneca.com and navigate to jobs in the USA. Please enter 1787433 in
the requisition number field to locate this position.

[ccp4bb] Permanent Crystallisation position

2007-12-06 Thread Pauptit, Richard A
A permanent protein crystallisation position at AstraZeneca in Boston, USA,
advertised here earlier, is still vacant. The position is within Infection
research and would involve crystallisation of antibacterial target proteins as
part of an increased strategic interest in antibiotics. The position would suit
someone whose main passion is protein crystallisation and ideally has
experience in an industrial or high-throughput environment.
