[ccp4bb] Postdoctoral Positions at Cornell University

2013-02-01 Thread Ailong Ke
Two Structural Biology postdoctoral positions are available in my lab to work
on (1) the structural aspects of proteins and complexes involved in a
prokaryotic RNA interference pathway, and (2) the structure and conformation
dynamics of riboswitches in gene regulation. Representative publications can be
found in PNAS 2007; 104(43):16844-9, Nat Struct Mol Biol. 2008 ;15(10):1076-83,
Science 2012;336(6089):1726-9, and Structure 2012; 20(9):1574-1564. The lab is
equipped with extensive crystallographic and nucleic acid biochemistry
resources, and is within walking distance to the synchrotron beamlines at the
Cornell High Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS).

These positions are funded by NIH. Candidates should have (or expect) a Ph.D.
in Structural Biology, with solid experience in protein purification,
crystallization, phasing, and structure refinement. Prior experience with
nucleic acid and/or baculovirus expression system are desired. For more
information, please contact Asc. Prof. Ailong Ke
(ak...@cornell.edu), or learn more about our research
at https://sites.google.com/site/kelaboratory/Home

[ccp4bb] Postdoctoral positions at Cornell University, Ithaca, New York, USA

2009-11-22 Thread Ailong Ke
A crystallography postdoctoral position in RNA Biology is available
immediately in the lab of Prof. Ailong Ke at Cornell University,
Ithaca, NY, USA. Related research projects will employ integrated
approaches to understand the structure and function of RNA and
RNA-protein complexes. The lab is interested in two main research
areas: 1. structure and working mechanism of macromolecular machines
in the eukaryotic RNA processing and degradation; 2. Structure and
conformation dynamics of important RNA and RNA-protein complexes.
Please check Nat Struct Mol Biol. 2008 Oct;15(10):1076-83, and Proc
Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2007 Oct 23;104(43):16844-9 for representative
publications. The lab has extensive crystallographic resources,
including regular access to synchrotron beamlines at the Cornell High
Energy Synchrotron Source (CHESS) on campus.

Candidates should have (or expect) a Ph.D. or M.D. and should have
experience in protein purification, crystallization, and structure
determination.
