*Senior to Principal Scientist, Protein Sciences*

ABio-X is a biotech incubator that incubates companies at the convergence
of disruptive technologies and innovative science, bringing transformative
medicines and solutions to the global market. Backed by CBC group, ABio-X
will have wholly-owned subsidiaries or make investments into certain
controlled companies, which will each have its own product portfolio and
operations managed by a separate leadership team.

ABio-X (NewCo) is a young startup built under Abio-X Holdings, Inc. (

the largest healthcare investment funds with $5B+ asset under management.
The company will leverage its proprietary library-based display and machine
learning platform to design and discover novel biotherapeutics for human
genetic diseases.

*Key Responsibilities*:

   - Design and implement protein engineering, production and molecular
   assessment experiments, including expression, purification, QC, and
   analytical characterization.
   - Design and optimize biophysical and biochemical studies of
   biotherapeutic molecules using high throughput and/or automated methods for
   candidate optimization and development.
   - Collaborate with other protein biochemists and biologists on major
   scientific breakthroughs
   - by designing experiments and optimizing strategies
   - Work closely with machine learning engineers and data scientists to
   advance ML/AI platform
   - Manage and direct CROs and direct reports.
   - Ensure effective and timely documentation in electronic laboratory
   notebooks.
   - Present/communicate research findings with cross-functional colleagues
   internally and at scientific meetings/conferences.
   - Stay scientifically current and contribute to the implementation of
   new technology and instrumentation.

*Qualifications*:

· PhD in structural biology, chemistry, biology, biochemistry, biomedical
engineering, or related field

· 5-10 years hands on industrial experience in protein construct design,
protein expression in mammalian cells and purification with AKTA, protein
QC (aSEC-HPLC), and biochemical biophysical characterizations (SPR, BLI,
DSF, CE-SDS, cIEF, DLS, MALS, mass spec, etc).

· Experience with automation and/or library based screening is a plus

· Solid experience with protein sequence/structure analysis and
characterization of sequence-structure-function relationship.

· Strong collaborative, organizational, and presentation skills

· Ability to direct Research Associates, Technicians and CROs

· Ability to document, maintain, and share an organized account of lab work
and results
