VCF Midwest: Photos and Videos

2017-09-23 Thread Jason T via cctalk
The 12th VCFMW has come and gone - and it was good! Great talks and
displays, a functional badge, record attendance and (virtually) no
smoking hardware! Photo galleries and videos are being posted at our
Past Events page here:

http://vcfmw.org/past.html

New this year are some panoramic/spherical photos I shot at various
locations throughout the main hall. Most browsers should allow you to
view them in 360-degree mode on the Google Photos page. They really
give you a feeling of the density of hardware (and people!) at the
show, along with just being a cool technical feat. We'll definitely
be shooting more of those next year.

Videos of the talks will be posted on our Youtube channel in the weeks to come:

https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCu3UDdi0llxiSaFKq-p5gYQ

If you have any galleries or videos not linked on our page, please let
me know and I will get them posted.

A BIG thank you to all who donated, purchased items at the auction,
spoke, displayed and attended our little nerdfest. The thanks we
receive at and after the show make it all worthwhile - but it couldn't
have happened without your support and participation.

And now a brief rest and on to next year

The 9845 was the top-of-the-line workstation. It could be interfaced to
almost everything computer-controlable that HP made.

also a 7970E and a Kennedy 9000.

would like to have these gone before the second week in Oct if someone in
the Bay Area can pick them up and bring a couple hundred bucks with them.

i'm just about out of that space and want to get finished up.

there is also an 11/34A w FPU and cache, RK, RL and TMA11 controllers available
there.

I hope someone can take this system, to prevent its being scapped!

FW: [VintHPcom] FS: HP 9000/400 apollo systems

2017-09-23 Thread Rik Bos via cctalk
Hi,

I’m a bit thinning out my collection.

I’ve 3 HP 9000/400 systems which have to move, 2 desktop (400t and 425t) one
‘tower’(I think a 400s)

All of them with keyboards, one with a domain keyboard the others HP-HIL

These are heavy beasts I’ll ship them worldwide but sending over the big pond
is costly..

To answer the obvious: no, I don’t sell the keyboards separate.

All the machines were stored working, but they have been in storage for a least
3 years.

So, the sell is ‘as is’.

Of cause, they are located in the Netherlands 

Please respond off-list

-Rik

Thanks for the link Fred. $10 for the key - worth a try. I'll get it and report
if it works.
