I don't know, but thanks for pointing out that it might not be a capacitor. I have two more VLCs so I will open them up and see what the markings are, the markings on this one are almost illegible. Split Ceramic Disk Capacitor
Since I am forced to stay at home more than I would like I though I would check some more PSUs. One I wanted to check was the H7109-C from one of my VAXstation 4000 VLC machines. I found a leaked capacitor and some other high ESR ones, so I will replace those. However, I also noticed a ceramic disk capacitor that appears to be split all around the edge. Is that a known failure mode? Regards Rob
