Hi,

Maybe look at Atom: https://atom.io/

Very flexible and now my code/general editor of choice.

Comment #35 points to a link that doesn't depend on /proc/self/mem and
claims to work on CentOS 6 and 5. I'm not quite sure what I should
be looking for when I run the program, though.

I do hope Redhat releases patches soon.

[CentOS] Outliner plugin for editor

2016-10-22 Thread H

I am currently running not only Geany (on CentOS and on Windows) but also Gedit
on CentOS, much of the use is as markdown-editors being a recent convert to
this language. I would, however, also like to be able to essentially use it as
an outliner - remember the old DOS outliners that were great for creating
document outlines?

It would have been perfect had I been able to fold and unfold sections of
whatever markdown document I am working on in Geany or Gedit but sadly that
does not seem possible... Nor have I been able to find a plugin for Gedit or
Geany that would add that functionality.

I do not want to have to use LibreOffice or something similar, it's too heavy
and cumbersome.

Hoping that someone can steer me to a solution!Thank you.

I should have said CentOS 7. Older ones (CentOS 6 and 5) are not vulnerable.

Luckily, no multi-user CentOS 7 machines here, only single user workstations.

Good luck, everybody!

Valeri

PS Sorry about a bit premature first message: I realize not that I was in
the same state of mind as back then when there was remote root SSH
vulnerability. It was long ago, but some may still remember that...

[CentOS] CVE-2016-5195 “DirtyCOW”: Critical Linux Kernel Flaw

2016-10-22 Thread Valeri Galtsev
Dear All,

I guess, we all have to urgently apply workaround, following, say, this:

https://gryzli.info/2016/10/21/protect-cve-2016-5195-dirtycow-centos-7rhel7cpanelcloudlinux/

At least those of us who still have important multi user machines running
Linux. (Yes, me too, I do have a couple, thank goodness, the rest are
already not ;-)

Have a productive weekend, everybody.

Valeri

[CentOS-es] [Postfix] SASL PLAIN authentication failed

2016-10-22 Thread angel jauregui
Buen dia.

*mailserver# hostname -f*
mailserver.dominio.com

*mailserver# tail -f /var/log/maillog*
Oct 22 16:40:32 mail postfix/smtpd[22269]: connect from relay1.dominio.com
[1.2.3.4]
Oct 22 16:40:34 mail postfix/smtpd[22269]: warning:
relay1.dominio.com[1.2.3.4]:
SASL PLAIN authentication failed:
Oct 22 16:40:34 mail postfix/smtpd[22269]: disconnect from
relay1.dominio.com[1.2.3.4]

En el Servidor de Paginas Web tengo el postfix configurado como relay y ya
corrobore que la clave sea la que asigne en el buzon, tambien valide que
haga relay al puerto 587 que asigne para el SMTP.

*servidorweb# hostname -f*
relay1.dominio.com

*servidorweb# cat /etc/postfix/sasl_passwd*
@dominio.com noreplay:pa55w0rd
[mailserver.dominio.com]:587 noreplay:pa55w0rd

*servidorweb# cat main.cf |grep relayhost*
relayhost = [mailserver.dominio.com]:587
sender_dependent_relayhost_maps = hash:/etc/postfix/relayhost_map

Saludos !
