[CentOS] CentOS 8 apcupsd or nut and duplicity

2019-10-19 Thread Ian P.
Hello Again,
Is there any update on nut or apcupsd for CentOS 8?

Also, I noticed that duplicity is not currently available for CentOS
8. I got the Fedora 30 SRPM for duplicity to build on CentOS, but ran
into a dependency issue and cannot find python-devel. Any suggestions
on alternatives or how to get duplicity going on CentOS 8?

Cheers,
Ian P.

[CentOS] KVM hypervisor displaying "vcpu0, guest rIP: 0xffffffff8225bc98 disabled perfctr wrmsr: 0xc2 data 0xfff"

2019-10-19 Thread Carlos Lopez
Hi all,

I have installed a CentOS-8 server to accomplish some tests using kvm guests …
All these guests are centos8 also. When these guests starts, I always see
errors like:

[ 589.687915] kvm [2133]: vcpu0, guest rIP: 0x81a5bc98 disabled
perfctr wrmsr: 0xc2 data 0x
[ 596.210773] kvm [2201]: vcpu0, guest rIP: 0xb885bc98 disabled
perfctr wrmsr: 0xc2 data 0x

Is this a bug? I am not using virt-manager to create guests configuration …
Any idea?

 Kernel release is: 4.18.0-80.11.2

Re: [CentOS] how to reinit an own repo after adding files?

Hallo,

My question:
What is the right way to reinit a repo complete? I tried several hints I found

Hi,

I currently had no time to look at fixing the issues, as my first test
with lorax gave a bootable centos 8 gnome desktop, but liveinst (from
anaconda) tracebacks when being launched (so not installable at all).
That's for someone to have a look and fix and come with ideas/solutions
. All contributions are welcome :)
