Anyone have any suggestions? Apparently the calligra-* packages in EPEL got updated but kmymoney was not rebuild against these new libraries. The current calligra-dkchart packages provides libcalligrakdchart.so.14. You should file this as a bug in RH bugzilla. Point out kmymoney needs to be rebuilt against the new calligra-* libraries. You could try rebuilding from srpm against the recent calligra-* libraries, but I have no idea how much dependencies you will have to build to accomplish this. Regards, Leonard. [CentOS-virt] AWS AMI questions
Hi folks, I had a few questions in regards to the CentOS AMI: Are there instance backed versions of the AWS marketplace CentOS builds? It looks like there might have been at one point, but I'm not seeing them now, and since they're marked as being from the marketplace we're having some difficulties attaching the volumes to another system to create an instance backed version of it. Any ideas? Is it possible to download the AMI from somewhere and re-upload them so they don't have the Marketplace restrictions? I checked cloud.centos.org, but it seems like they files there haven't been updated in a while. It's my understanding that projectraindrops.net was used to build the AMIs, is it possible to run that service locally? Re: [CentOS-virt] AWS AMI questions
Thanks Karanbir! Just one comment about the raindrops project; having it as a closed source project that's separate from the official CentOS project, and has no recognizable organization behind, makes it hard to use in any sizable company. Inevitably there would be questions about security and verification of what is in the build, risk of being dependent on a project that may or may not be around in a few years. If it were open source, or perhaps under the CentOS brand, that would make it easier to use. Just an fyi... -cs From: Karanbir Singh mail-li...@karan.org To: centos-virt@centos.org Sent: Wednesday, July 31, 2013 2:42 PM Subject: Re: [CentOS-virt] AWS AMI questions Hi, On 07/31/2013 04:07 PM, CS wrote: Are there instance backed versions of the AWS marketplace CentOS builds? I checked cloud.centos.org, but it seems like they files there haven't been updated in a while. cloud.centos.org will be the right place, that is exactly the target that I am working to develop. It's my understanding that projectraindrops.net was used to build the AMIs, is it possible to run that service locally? You should be able to use that service as is ( the aim of projectraindrops is not to deliver open source software, but to deliver and maintain a service that just-works and has a reasonable feature spec ). The CentOS images are not built with it, the CentOS images are build in a replica install that runs inside the centos buildservices. Re: [CentOS] nouveau driver one centos 6
Hi, Jerry Try appending 'rdblacklist=nouveau' to the kernel line in grub.conf (and keep the blackist in modules.conf) - install CentOS and reboot as usual - preempt booting at the grub menu and append 'rdblacklist=nouveau 3' to the kernel line to disable nouveau and start up in init 3 - install the Nvidia binary driver. Optionally, do a yum upgrade, reboot back to init 3 and build the driver on the latest kernel - edit grub.conf and remove the '3' and reboot again Nouveau will now stop loading and use your nvidia driver cheers, - cal On 21/07/11 13:08, Jerry Geis wrote: I wish to not load the or even install the nouveau driver by default.
