[CentOS] Sound problem in Dell inspiron 1525
After installing CentOS 5.2 on my Dell inspiron 1525 laptop, the sound was inactive, I then installed Alsa-Driver, Alsa-utils, Alsa-plugins and Alsa-libs the ATrpms site. The speakers then work fine, but when I plug in headphones, the sound begins to fade out and eventually becomes completely quiet. I have checked the Volume Manager and nothing is muted including the Headphones volume, when I unplug the headphones the speakers are also quiet. The sound card is a HDA-INTEL. Any suggestions and solutions? NOTE: THE SPEAKERS WORK FINE, THE PROBLEM ONLY OCCURS THE MOMENT I PLUG IN HEADPHONES. [CentOS] Siemens Samba 75 on CentOS 5
I tried a work around i.e. installing Win XP as guest using VirtualBox and then running the modem from win XP seamlessly but ran into another brickwall. it gives the following error when I try to enable the Samba 75 for win XP: Failed to attach the USB device Siemens AG Wireless modules to the Virtual Machine Windows XP. [CentOS] Installing Siemens Samba 75 modem(MC75) on CentOS 5
I recently bought an edge modem and I need help on how to install it on CentOS 5. I tried working my way round it by installing windows as a virtual machine and then installing the modem but it kept on telling me that the USB device has malfunctioned. When I tried installing ntfs 3g on CentOS 5 I got an error telling me it needed FUSE >= 2.6 I got FUSE but on attempting to install it it gives the following error: Fuse configure error checking kernel source directory...
