Mark's original message asking about flash-plugin did eventually show up,
as I'm sure people have seen by now.

Looking at its Received headers, it appears it got stuck for 5 hours at
Mark's email provider. It was submitted to host290.hostmonster.com using
squirrelmail at 18:56 GMT, but didn't leave that machine for the next hop
(cmgw2) until 23:55 GMT.

That's interesting. Hoping this gets through - I did get a bounce from nixspam
after 19:00

Thanks John.

Moreover, I didn't intend to ask help with access to list, what I asked
was to look into technical problem the person has on his machine which he
himself was not able to pass over to the list. This ours is the only list
of technical mail lists I am being bashed on for merely sending to list
someone's e-mail with non-trivial _technical_ _question_ which he is
unable to send to list himself.

This phrase you quote was mere explanation why I forwarded somebody's else
message, and by no means intended to be request about the list, to the
contrary, about some software on CentOS system.

Creative editing is bad when one pills some phrase totally out of the
message context like you did ;-( So we are both bad about list etiquette
(even though I doubt I am ;-)

Not that I disagree but lists.centos.org and mail.centos.org are the
same box; it is likely that if someone is having issues getting a post
to the list they will have similar problems mailing f...@centos.org as
well.

Hi, Valeri,

I've tried, twice, to post to the list today, and they neither show up,
*nor* do I get a blocked message - they just go to /dev/null.

The second was just a test, the first was asking if anyone else was
seeing, with CentOS 6 (updated) flash-plugin crashing every 10-15 min.
And there's no downgrade for it.

[CentOS] Fwd: A CentOS list favor, please: an ethtool question

To: Les Mikesell lesmikes...@gmail.com

Hi, Les,

May I ask you to forward this to the list? I know I got one email from
Karanbir after he modded me so that I couldn't post to the list... but
in the last week, I've tried emailing Johnny, and I also sent one to
Karanbir, figuring that if he was moderating me, I'd send a post to him
to moderate, and got a response from neither... and I'm suspecting that
any email I send to *any* address at centos.org goes to /dev/null, and
he seems to have forgotten me altogether.

Anyway, I'm rsyncing directories over the net, from a 6.5 box to a 6.5
box, and it's going *very* slowly, hours for 100G. Trying to see if
there was a network issue, I tried ethtool on the older box that I'm
pulling from, and the relevant lines that surprised me are these:
Advertised auto-negotiation: Yes
Speed: Unknown!
Duplex: Unknown! (255)
Port: Twisted Pair
PHYAD: 1
Transceiver: internal
Auto-negotiation: on

Note it's a tg3 driver.

Or we're a tad busy with getting 6.6 built, tested and out the door
(among other tasks).

Please don't circumvent the mod status for the mailing list.
