I run postfix on all of my vmware VMs with this minimal config: /etc/postfix/main.cf - queue_directory = /var/spool/postfix command_directory = /usr/sbin daemon_directory = /usr/libexec/postfix mail_owner = postfix inet_interfaces = 127.0.0.1 recipient_delimiter = _ setgid_group = postdrop relayhost = (my relay host) If you wanted it smaller I just tested it with this config and it still works: mail_owner = postfix inet_interfaces = 127.0.0.1 setgid_group = postdrop relayhost = (my relay host) Could probably reduce it further.. I do re-route mail destined for accounts like root to a different account on a remote system, which is configured in the aliases file. nate ___ CentOS mailing list CentOS@centos.org http://lists.centos.org/mailman/listinfo/centos
RE: [CentOS] Lightweight MTA for XEN CentOS guests
I like exim for this purpose. I used to run a number of high performance clusters and some of the nodes needed to send status information via e-mail. Exim was just right for me. It is also pretty easy to configure. http://www.exim.org/ Geoff Galitz Blankenheim NRW, Deutschland http://www.galitz.org -Original Message- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Brett Serkez Sent: Montag, 18.
