Directory structure looks good, what does:

# java -version

Give you?

Problem is, when I find /usr/java/jre1.6.0_04 in the OpenOffice Calc 
ToolsOptions dialogue box by clicking the Add button and
choosing the file, it won't show up in the JRE already installed window.  Only 
the Free Software Foundation 1.4.2 shows.
